Passed CHL with flying colors

249/250 in the range qualification.

99/100 on exam.

Should have my permission slip soon. I figure I had better get it done because I tote everywhere I go.

Aced the range test with my springfield model 1911-A1 US GI pistol.

It sure does feel good to have that cold steel on me when I'm out in the dark or riding around early in the AM.

Dido on the congrats. Real easy in my state too, just a 2 hour class and fill out application and submit. No fingerprints, or even gun needed . Was actually kind of surprised. After signed up for class, found a site online that you can take, and NOT even have to take the class . Talk about a breeze. Background has to be clean though, guess thats all they care about. So IF you are in VA, check it out. Better now, before they line item delete this out in some state legislature in the near future.

None of our stuff was scored. The instructor looked at all the tests and said we all passed. Then on the range you had to have 4 hits out of 6 shots in 3 different exercises. So I qualified with 18 rounds. The written exams are valuable cause I still remember 95% of the answers. And the questions make sure you know the law. As I make the rounds on the forums, I can tell that a lot of gun owners don't know the laws for their states.

It is hard for me to believe that a State would give a person a license to carry a gun concealed and not advise them on the force and deadly force statutes.. Most Drug Store Cowboys dont have an Idea above a gnats butt.:36_1_30:

Wow! In our State you go down to the Sheriff's office; Throw ~$30 at them and say "Yo BLEEP, Homie want's to be strapped so gimme a permit". . . . . .

Then they fingerprint you and ~2-4 weeks later, you have a permit. . . .
